Lifeflight helipad and control center was extremely cool. The team from the men working the control center to the nurses and pilots of the plane all work so efficiently to get the victim to the hospital as quickly as possible. I was extremely impressed with the whole system.

I was amazed by the safety precautions and all the steps in determining whether a flight was appropriate or not. In addition, the idea of LifeFlight being the only single-hospital based program was very impressive.

I learned so much about the whole process from when they receive the call and decide whether or not to fly, to when the patient is rushed in through the hospital doors. I thought it was interesting that the people flying together work together prior and learn to make everything non personal, considering they work in a very high stress, compacted, environment.

I really liked seeing all the technology and monitors in the Flight Control room and going out onto the helipad. I thought it was really cool how the people in flight control monitor the elevators to make sure they are clear whenever a patient arrives, and I had no idea how much went into just deciding whether or not to fly.
